- MP3 is a standard for compressing audio files.
- Sound files can be reduced down to 1/12th
- MP3 still retains a high level of audio quality.
- Not all MP3 is the same (bitrate, VBR or CBR)
- Most common near-CD quality 128 kb/s
- Low quality can be in 24kb/s and not stereo
